Fred’s more likely a spirit or a “demon”. demons will almost never speak their name and often times they help people but feed off of the energy you give them. A close friends mother had a “hallucinated being” and the way the way you describe him helping and the unknown knowledge is very similar. I believe him and his family 100%. In their instance it came with negative side effects and the whole family would get sleep paralysis and see spirits and floating orbs and had many instances of “break ins” where they would clear the house and no one is there. I think it’s highly likely he’s a spirit, not sure of potential malevolence. But when my friends mother took meds even after years he never went away and it never changed, he was very vocal about how meds wouldn’t change it. He was a very strange spirit though, he showed her things and took her to different places. Even a few weeks before pope Francis resigned she spoke about how he took her to an inverted church and spoke to her about the pope resigning and Christianity and other unrepeatable secrets. No one believed her then a few weeks later sure enough the pope resigned. And the fear that my friend gets while speaking about his experiences is undeniably true.
