Bless you. I eagerly await more tales from your tailor shop; even ones you consider more mundane.
I am not sure which idea I should entertain. On one hand, it's terrifying that we're constantly surrounded by these monsters. Humans usually enjoy not having the position of "prey."
On the other hand, they are not totally unpredictable. You enjoy a special position of someone that provides something they want; and that is conditional on your wellbeing. It sounds like people of your intestinal fortitude (or stubbornness) are rare.
It sounds like a situation of education and manners. While I'm sure my morbid sense of curiosity is emboldened by my distance from your situation, I am a little envious.
I think you are actually safer than the rest of us. You just can't hide behind the blissful veil of ignorance.
Arm yourself with as much knowledge as you can. You sound smart and wilful enough to indefinitely use this to your advantage.

You bring up a great point, they do need me to provide them with my services, but that doesn't bring me too much relief as my coworkers can do just as good of a job (if not better) than I can. I always do my best to keep on their good side so they have no reason to dispose of me.

I do try to do research when I learn new things about my clients, but honestly, I enjoy sleeping peacefully at night, and my research typically makes me more frightened. I just listen to them carefully and mimic their behavior, and it seems to please them. Plus, my coworkers have been doing this much longer than I have, so I'm able to get tips from them.

Thank you for your insight!! I always appreciate any advice I can get.

I inferred from your writing that there was only the one established coworker. Did I misread? Are there more?

I work with my manager Daniel, as well as my coworker, Patrick. I have one other coworker who I haven't mentioned yet, as I feel he will require a bit of an explanation, but trust me, he is much better at this job than I am.

If they didn't need a third, they wouldn't have hired you. Give yourself time, patience, and experience. Right now you're the new girl, which carries its own sort of charm. Confidence and competence will come with time. Don't let them fray your nerves too badly, or you'll end up as nervous as Daniel.
