What an intense creepy adventure! Always trust your instincts in these types of situations. And for future reference, the only "45" that will stop a grizzly bear is a rifle that shoots 45-70 gov't rounds.

Yeah, I don't know that I'd trust anything with less stopping power than a shotgun when it comes to actual grizzlies.

I own two .45s- an old Sig P220, and a brand new Sig Stainless 1911. I also have a Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan that will fire both the Colt 45-70 and the .454 Casull round.
