Its the "I dont like this one." That did it for me. If you didnt hear that following the taps, I think you're okay. Maybe since you didn't see gramps again...he mightve passed later that night and just tapped on your window as a silent goodbye. Knowing YOU would know who it was. And thats why there were ONLY taps.
