Can't wait until they get a minimal fine that they'll pay a portion of. That'll show them.

Gets fined then declares bankruptcy claiming fines have broken them. Then, new company rises from the ashes.

Is the child labor an issue or the cleaning up of entrails and blood of slaughtered animals the issue?

How and why did I read that in Homer Simpson's voice...

This is like a Serial Killer being let go after promising not to murder anyone anymore. They broke the law. Punish them.

“What are you doing? These are mine. These are my workers. They should be on my train. They're skilled slaughterhouse workers. They're essential. Essential girls. Their fingers polish the insides of metal casings. How else am I to polish the inside of a 45 inch deboner casing? You tell me. You tell me!”

How old were the kids? Are people under 18 not allowed to have a job / where is the line drawn between this and cleaning a mcdonald's for a 17 year old.

As young as thirteen, it was in the article. Legally, it’s different because minors aren’t allowed to work in an industrial environment. Scrubbing blood and chunks of dead animal off of factory machinery isn’t the same as sweeping a restaurant lobby.
BeepBeeepBeepBeep t1_iz9czfi wrote
Thanks skimmed the article for a number but might have been spelled with letters (where we are going, everything is spelled with letters Marge)
Agree with this
