You can't lock old car doors without turning it off. Can't turn it off with kids in it.

God to me an “old car” is one without remote starters where you can do whatever the fuck you want because there are no electronics save the radio/cassette player. I’m old.

Lots of vehicles have overrides. My 2009 Toyota would not allow you to lock it from the outside while running. It would lock and then immediately reopen.
