Hell, go work at the better job and double dip. It's not like Twitter has enough HR or managerial staff to pay attention. Just straight up steal from Elon. I would.
Elon quintouple dips. Why shouldn't his employees?
r/overemployed
It's not stealing. That's why I downvoted you. Otherwise I agree. The only party that broke the law here was the employer.
Uuh double dipping is fraud though...
Then I guess Elon can't be CEO of 4 companies at once.

Elon is free to negotiate his contracts however he wants, such as "no single employment clauses".
I've worked for a lot of software companies and I've signed a lot of contracts. Nothing I've ever looked at has a "single employment" clause and I don't know how that would ever be enforcible anyway.

It really depends on the contract she signed. Most midrange to high level contracts include this, but "VP of Global[something]" may be above that.
Regardless, you can't take another 7 figures job in secret. Stuff gets known fast
Don’t do that. Other companies will think you will do that too them too
Damn right I will
If you double dip, companies will think you are time stealing and fire you with cause. This will affect your ability to get future jobs, including desirable ones….
Is there some secret database where this HR information is stored and shared across all companies? What if I just left that off my resume? Yea, I think that would suffice.
Yes it's run by Equifax and is called The Work Number. https://www.fool.com/the-ascent/personal-finance/articles/if-youre-working-2-jobs-beware-equifax-may-tell-your-boss/
Coupled with their incompetence with regards to data security, that's probably easy data to get. I stand corrected.
Background checks can show this, and there is some new thing from equifax or experian that I looked at that tracks your work history. You can turn it off though.
Do you… do you think payroll information is private? My man it’s reported to the irs.
ring ring. IRS speaking, what can I do for you? Yea, can I get Donald Trump's employment history and tax return? Uh, let me check....no

If you get fired for it, the new company will likely call your last employer… I suppose if you leave your last employer off, maybe you could get away with it. But why bother?
So basically don’t get caught
