He told him to delete the posts about being in the building so he wouldn't be charged because they were gonna charge everyone in the building. It seems pretty clear he knew the guy was or would be under investigation and told him to delete the posts to hamper said investigation.

That being said, he told the guy to remove/destroy/hide evidence during an ongoing investigation. That’s pretty clear that there’s obstruction. Regardless of the perceived severity of the crime, it’s still obstruction imo.
