Judges don’t need to offer bail. Even in a no cash bail state like Illinois, he would probably be released.

At least this cost him some money.

If he bothered with a bondsman, if he had the $5mil handy he probably just paid it himself and will get it all back

I believe it's a constitutional requirement, unless there are major flight risks or other issues (like threatening to murder the accusers).
