It's not the biggest story of all time, but I wouldn't have thought about doing it. Might help others get out of annoying wrongly issued fines.

Is this an ad or something? The letter is just a basic summation of the facts which she would have had to give the AI anyway, how much more effort would it have needed to do it herself, like a couple of minutes? The whole "I'm too busy to write it myself" explanation sounds like BS.

It's just astro turf marketing. I remember a guy raving about this thing taking the ingredients he put into it and spitting out a delicious Thanksgiving dinner recipe made up of all the things he put into it. Then some rando was like "sooo cool I'll totally try this in a pinch".

Given her field of study it may not make a difference but going for clever over smart is not a good sign for a student.

I don’t know. Take the time to write, edit, grammar check OR simply jot the facts of what she wants to say and let the AI take over the mundane task of figuring out how to say it.
I see it as a case of work smarter not harder.

Seems like a non-story... someone used the bot for a non-nefarious use that seems entirely legal and just saved them a lot of time.
