Funny enough, the January 8th 2023 failed "insurrection" to reinstate Bolsonaro was practically a redux of January 6th 2021 in the United States in every measurable way. I'd be happy to entertain any examples from recent years of things flowing in the other direction though.

I hope Bolsonaro's asylum in the US spurs at least a couple people to reflect on our history of aiding, abetting, and providing comfort to South American dictators and war criminals. I'm shocked that Trump hasn't reached out to offer him a cabinet position in his next administration.
