NJ Transit Round Trip Ticket

A couple months ago i went to a Devils game and i always take the train. I bought a round trip ticket and they never took the one for the train ride home. I remember a thread here before about if they expire but i cannot remember. Im going to another game in a couple weeks, can i buy just a one way ticket there and use the previous ticket on the way home or does it expire ?

One way tickets and round trip tickets (which are really just two one ways) in the app never expire until they are activated, and can be used in either direction between the stops. It’s one of the great things about NJT.

Printed ones might have an expiration, check the face/back of the ticket.

Buy a one way, but try using the previous one first. If for some reason it’s not accepted, you have the new one way right there as a backup.

That'll be a fun one for sure cause the Flyers suck. I'm going to the Jets one to be one of the few Jets fans there.

Tickets never expire. As long as you can see where it is going and where it is from, it can be used.

My bad. I stopped taking the bus 3 years ago and the tickets had an expiration date on them back then. I guess they changed since then.

Nah that's fine. Bus tickets might expire? But OP is talking about the train. I took a ticket the other day from the late 90s with no bar code or anything. It was cool lol
