Kura Sushi is like the kaitenzushi chain in Japan. Many a drunk night spent there. Hope they have the little gatchapon game every 10 plates too.

I used to be a sales rep and had to go into just about every mall in NJ, Long Island and some in Delaware and PA.

The way we would get a good spot, is to go to the row you want to park in and wait about 20 spots back from the front of the row, You'll get a spot in around 10 minutes. Even during the holiday rush.

The only caveat is don't pick a row by the employee entrances.

I'm not quite sure what part of Edison you have seen, but there's like 25 Japanese restaurants in Edison alone...There's almost 1 Sushi place per block in Edison. Edison is the Otaku capital of New Jersey.

Here is the list Tokyo Sushi, J&Q Sushi, Miso Sushi, Sushi Palace, Rayaki Ramen Edison, Sushi O Asian Bistro, Sushi Saga, Kanpanchi Sushi, Waki Japanese Ramen, Umani Bowls, Noodle Plus, Shogun Wok Edison, Yaruka Ramen, Habachi Express Edison, Happy Lamb Hot Pot Edison, Gao's Noodle House, Chung Sol Bat

If this isn't Japan, then what is it???

All (if not a rather large percentage) of those Restaurants are Japanese, not Korean or Chinese you can look them up. I would like to point out that in the previous response to another Redditor you mentioned Kona Grill as Japanese when Kona Grill is a classic American Grill with steak and seafood, so what you might consider "Japanese" is questionable 🙃.

I agree with your last statement, there's a large hub of Asian culture there. I think that's awesome.
