So I went to Atlantic City about 2 months ago from Maryland with an EZ pass I thought was good to use but I have about 5 letters from the NJ EZ pass aswell as one from a collection agency saying I owe about $250 in tolls with 90% of that being “administrative fees”. Has anybody been able to get this fee waved before and if so how could I go about doing that or do I just have to pay the extra fees?

I had a crossing not link to my ez pass once and something similar happened. I was able to link the transaction to my ez pass on their website and that got rid of the $50 admin fee.

Are you an EZ Pass holder? If so, log into your account and you can pay the toll and just dispute the fee. That happened to me when the credit card we had on file expired.

EZ Pass has to be linked to the license plate now. It use to be as long as you had a pass you were good, but since most places are going without toll booths & only have cameras they require the EZpass linked to the plate. You can put multiple vehicles on the EZpass , but you can not put a vehicle on multiple passes.

I literally just fixed this same situation online last night. One note: When you enter the violation number omit the -01 (or similar) when submitting the form to view the violation online.

Multiple license plates and transponders can be associated with a single account. So all transponders associated with the account are associated with all vehicles associated with the account (at least for vehicles/transponders that have the same vehicle type code).

Perhaps you meant that you can not put the same vehicle on multiple E-Zpass accounts?
