The real issue is getting to AC from North Jersey/NYC. If there was a relatively fast and affordable option(like a true express train / high speed rail), I think AC would prosper. It’s just too far for shorter trips.

There used to be an express train that left from Metropark and Newark for AC, but it didn't last long. It was great, and even offered snacks on board!
