Thinking about getting an apartment in Bloomfield, specifically on Bloomfield Ave near the train station. Any insights on the area? Is it safe? How’s the night life?

Bloomfield is nice. Easy Uber to nightlife options in Montclair or Newark. You can also take the train to NYC.

There's not a whole lot of nightlife quite yet but there is Blue Steel Pizza and another bar at the intersection. I've lived on Bloomfield ave for a few years in a newer apt complex. The good thing is Montclair is so close and you're very close to the parkway and trains.

It's a solid location close to stuff both in Bloomfield and easy to get Into Montclair for more food/night life or Music options....I'm on Bloomfield Ave in Montclair Def happy with the area

I went to Bloomfield College for two years. I always thought Bloomfield was a nice area. I’d walk around the area on breaks between classes and never felt unsafe. I think it just gets a bad reputation because of its proximity to Newark.
