Poor little ramen noodle couldn’t hurt you even if he wanted to, the only snakes around here that are even remotely dangerous are copperheads and timber rattlers.

People are fully right in being overcautious with snakes. Wrong identification of a snake can kill a person much more likely than wrong identification of a spider.

My guy there hasn’t been a recorded snake bite fatality in NJ in over a century. People are scared shitless of wildlife for absolutely no reason.
