Christ, y’all are soft. This is a completely harmless Brown Snake. Just carry it to the nearest shrub and leave him to do snake things.

Poor little ramen noodle couldn’t hurt you even if he wanted to, the only snakes around here that are even remotely dangerous are copperheads and timber rattlers.

People are fully right in being overcautious with snakes. Wrong identification of a snake can kill a person much more likely than wrong identification of a spider.
