This issue with this is that half the shore isn't apart of the the "shore area". When people think of the shore a lot people think Wildwood, Avalon, Cape May.. yet they aren't in the shore areas.

I disagree with this. In terms of cultural significance, the "central jersey" part of the shore is what ppl think of when they think of the "shore." Look up any stock photography of the "Jersey Shore," and most of the imagery is of the Ferris wheel @ Seaside Heights. The Jersey Shore reality show, unfortunately, had more impact than we'd all like. Cape May and all that is its own thing.

There needs to be a Southern Shore region then because I agree with previous comment. A lot of people think of that AC to Cape May area when they say the “shore”.

We once took a Physick Estate tour, our guide was an old lady. As far as she was concerned Cape May was the center of the world, Wildwood was North Jersey, and NYC was outer space
