Maybe using Canada as the aggressor isn't the best way to represent what's going on.

For New Jerseyans, Canadians are aggressively...nice. Which annoys the *uck out of us, amiright?

A better comparison, based on the language Putin used to justify the invasion back in February, would be Mexico invading the southwest under the guise of "it used to be part of Mexico" and that those states are violating the rights of Spanish speakers.

Wait, is Canada the aggressor here? The land of universal healthcare and minimal mass shootings?

If Canada had New York's climate and accessibility to the Jersey shore, I'd be there already.

The climate part already exists in the Okanagan already and climate+shore are basically the same on Vancouver Island.

Safe? Being stuck in what would probably be a permanently red America is safe?

Edit: Just saw what the map represents. Disregard this comment.

I wouldn't accept it on the basis we aren't part of Canada. Have you been to Wildwood in the summer? Clearly we are Quebeckers at heart.

Contrary to popular belief, way more Canadians immigrate to the US than the other way around, mostly because Canadians tend to take home a lot less money. So yeah, solid no from me.
