I noticed the Brookdale rest stop on the parkway has been closed for a while, so I looked up what was going on. I heard they're tearing it all down. For one I'm bummed because that's where we used to stop for Egg Mc Muffins in the morning on our way to Wildwood every year, and 2 since they remodeled the River Edge Mc Donalds, it's the only Mc Donalds left with the classic characters. Does anyone know if they have a plan to use them in the new facility or anything? Or are they going the way of the Pabst Bottle....

I hear the plan is to put in a Chick-fil-A which makes zero sense to me. Why put a restaurant in a rest stop that isn't open on Sundays? Sitting in traffic on your way home from the beach on a Sunday and want to grab some food? Sorry, god says no

Well there will be other places thankfully. But I have to say Chic Fil A is one of my favorites. Back in the day you could only get it at Paramus Park and I used to beg my parents to go every week.

it’s getting remodeled like the other rest stops along the parkway and turnpike. supposed to put a chic-fil-a, burger king, and starbucks, and a convenience store.
