I always loved the ceiling at Mill Creek. It was those shiny slats of white and silver and you can see how the Caldor sign reflects off it in the photo. This mall died very young….it had an amazing food court and was just super convenient for people who lived and worked in the area. This Foodtown was one of the nicest I ever have been to.

Now all Secaucus has is a Walmart for a grocery store. What a decline in fortunes. Ugh Walmart.

I bought a plant there for my grandmother when I was 5 years old and managed to keep it alive for over 30 years. Always liked them more than Bradlees.

The one Caldor I remember was somewhere in Bergen county. Maybe Wayne?

I just remember that it had an escalator because my brother and I would race each other running up the "down" escalator while my mom shopped... the fact that we could do so without bothering any other shoppers was probably a red flag.

i met the rock at mill creek mall in 1999. he must have been in nj for a wwf event at the time at the arena. the line started at the caldor entrance and went all the way down to the other exit by foodtown. he stood on a stage in front of caldor and said finally the rock as come back to secaucus. women fainted, he kissed some babies and signed my copy of wwf attitude for playstation. good day.

I'm surprised this store opened with that serifed signage. I don't think that sign was still there by 1990. My only regret in life regarding this mall is that I never ate any of those weird popcorns from The Kernel and the Bean next door.

I remember being so mad that Edgewater was the only Caldor that became a Target . . . all of the other ones in North Jersey became Kohls . . . I wanted a Target bc I saw some Mossimo sweater in a magazine and those were the days before internet shopping so it was brick-and-mortar or bust.

I'm so damn old I remember Caldor. I remember this mall. I used to go here with my parents and it was the most fun. I went to Caldor to check out the games and toys and went to the I think it was EBX and Waldenbooks.
