I can tell you where NOT to go:

  1. Premier Car Wash in Metuchen. This is the one that's on the way to the Walmart/Costco -- horrible job on a detail (they left the seats completely wet and almost ruined all the electronics). Then went for a car wash for another car right after, and the guy almost backed up someone's Model X into my car. Thankfully I was a good 4 ft behind him and he barely slammed on the brakes. And for this car wash, they charged my credit card a year later because "something went wrong with their credit card system and it didn't charge." Literally a fucking year later. Just avoid this place at all costs

  2. Trax Car Wash On Oak Tree -- another horrible place. Left swirl marks all over my new car (this was a couple of years ago), and I've avoided them ever since. They take no responsibility if they fuck up and are never thorough

I have heard good things about Rahway Hand Car Wash, but go right when they open, other wise they get too backed up. I've resorted to just doing it on my own at this point. It's just tough in the winter after the salt/snow destroys your car. Let me know if you end up finding one that's decent.

Also your question led me to do some google search, because I've been looking for a good car wash as well. I came across one, that seems a bit more pricier: https://cleanworxnj.com/contact-form. I haven't used this service, but I just submitted a quote request for a detail, so let's see. This looks like they come to you and detail it for you at your location (massive convenience).
