Hey 👋 I am currently a member at Plant Fitness but I am looking for a gym that has more to offer than the basics. I am kind of bored with going there and looking for a gym that will help take me to the next level. Some place that has barbells, weight plates, a Landmine, and just more machines that are curated to more specific needs. I used to be a member at 24 Fitness in Hasbrouck Heights but they closed. I would like to coat no more than $50 a month and for it to preferably be in Passaic, Essex or Bergen counties. A trainer really isn’t in my budget at the moment. Thanks for your input.

La fitness probably your best option. They have a lot and everything you need to make real progress. For like $40 a month you can go to any la fitness in the country. It’s better than crunch and I’ve only been to one blink and it was better. Good luck!!

Seconded. Had LA fitness and it was totally worth paying a higher membership fee. Higher quality machines, a pool, and access to PT services at every location. Sadly due to COVID and a permanent change to my routine it made no sense to keep the membership.

This was going to be my recommendation. I haven't lived in that area for a few years now so maybe things have changed but they had really good equipment and it never got too crowded even during peak hours.

I like the convenience of the chain gyms because there are multiple locations and that works for me but I really like the way you are describing Strong and Shapely I would love a gym that I can call home.

I am in Clifton…I like the convenience of the chains but it doesn’t have to be one. I want to enjoy going. I want them to have equipment that I enjoy using and offers variety.

Yes I agree with you I tried Crunch when it first opened in Clifton but quickly hated it because it was always so packed, ppl constantly hoarding equipment, trainers getting privileges for clients that weren’t there and the mess so I will definitely stay away from Crunch.
