I went to school at SUNY New Paltz and stayed for a few years after. Absolutely stunning in the Hudson Valley. Lots of hiking trails. It's a great place to relax, especially in the fall. If you want to see something that'll blow your mind, go there during the first few weeks of autumn. Jaw dropping colors. Anyway, highly recommend Bear Mountain, Storm King art exhibit and flying drones over/ canoeing over to Bannerman Island off the coast of Newburgh to anyone interested.
