just seems silly. growing up here you would never think of the parkway as a dividing line.

Yup. Pricing is controlled by algorithms.
Only Monmouth County and south. They also include ACY airport and all of the Cape May peninsula in the Jersey Shore rate area.
it's a solid dividing line if you plan to charge more for rides in and around the shore.

Far hills is laughing at this!
…is this a serious question?
That's fair. I personally would consider the Jersey Shore region to be anything east of the Parkway in Monmouth, Ocean, and Atlantic Counties, as well as all of CMC.
i think that’s exactly how it is. because i didnt get the shore pay in south amboy
Looks like it might be all of Cape May County actually...
But if you go far enough out into the ocean, it reverts to the regular NJ rate.
wow where did you get that pix from

just did a ride in keyport on the east side of the parkway. wasnt included. guessing it starts in hazlet
Just went and double checked the county line, there is a little sliver of Monmouth County not included. Looks like the shore zone actually starts at Wilkson Creek, but most of Keyport is in the shore zone.
Here's the zoom in of the border on the Uber rate map. I (very crudely) drew in the Monmouth / Middlesex county line. https://imgur.com/a/4HmciuP
