Is Verizon FIOS Internet down for you (Essex)?

I’m in Bloomfield and I lost internet last night. It’s still down. Verizon apparently knows this. It won’t let us open a support ticket until 7pm tonight. I guess that’s how long they expect repairs to take.

How big is this outage? I know I’m asking about an internet outage on a website but I’m on my phone so maybe other people are.

I'm in West Orange and Fios is working fine. But last night I had problems making calls on Verizon wireless so I don't know what's going on around here.

It’s only in parts of Bloomfield (Hoover and E Passaic) someone must have hit a pole or something related.

Thanks! Looks like it’s parts of Bloomfield. I’m in Town Center.

There’s been Verizon workers checking the pole outside my house for the past hour. They keep leaving and coming back. A lot of yelling.

I don’t think they know what the problem is.

Also in Bloomfield and it’s been down since last night. There outage checker is crap - but it says they expect to restore service by 6:45 pm

I received a text or email the other day saying they were upgrading services today, Friday, but in Union county. Not sure if that applies elsewhere though I imagine it would.

A bunch of businesses in the Bay Ave/Hoover Ave area of Bloomfield had to close today because their payment/phone/ordering is all on Verizon. One pizza place said it was because of a car crash nearby.

Bloomfield here off of Bay Ave and still no service. Working off our phones . Last update says 6:45 am tomorrow

I get stuff breaks and takes time to fix but this is annoying
