I still have no idea how much they're sending... Just a wild range.

You can check. Google "NJ anchor status," because I can't remember the link and if I leave typing this comment I'll never come back.

Renters who made under $150k get 450. Owners who made under 150k get 1.5k. Owners who made between 150-250k get 1k.

You can check the status of your rebate https://www1.state.nj.us/TYTR_Saver/jsp/common/HRInquiry.jsp

Mine said it was deposited today 3/28 but was not showing in my bank account when I checked at 2am. When I woke up around noon and checked again it was there.

Yea I have to check what happened because I sure as hell didn’t make over $150k combined with my wife and I only got $1000

3

Tomorrowsworry1 t1_je1k4bf wrote

It goes by your 2019 income.

2

GhostRising_ t1_je1ksqd wrote

Yeah we didn’t even come close in 2019 or since

2

DSJ13 t1_je2474a wrote

I’m pretty sure we were under $150k in 2019 as well, and got $1000.

3

GhostRising_ t1_je24b0y wrote

I guess I’ll try to call tomorrow but I’m not holding out hope

peter-doubt t1_je2kbdh wrote

Your link gets me to a page that (predictably) asks for the year of the application... All good, except it only goes to 2019!

For others noting this, choose 2019, it'll continue.

I got mine now. It just hit my bank account. $1500

I had to file by paper...I wonder when I will receive it

cassinonorth t1_je0gmq5 wrote

Same, application status is still "Accepted". Hopefully won't be super long.

3

dickprompt t1_je2phts wrote

Same, status checker just says “received” for me

Wombat357 t1_jdzkqz0 wrote

Did anyone else only receive $750? My wife and I are both teachers and didn’t even come close to $250,000 in 2019. Are they paying in installments or something? Looking through the state website people were going to receive either $1500 or $1000 depending on income. The amount we received was neither of those.

7

michelem387 t1_jdzlicc wrote

Did you file separately? You may have gotten $750 eacj

11

BoardwalkKnitter t1_je0yg6z wrote

The full amount is if you are the sole homeowner. I remember reading the FAQ on the gov site, something about if you had been married and gotten divorced since 2019. It said each party should file and it would be split.

1

Wombat357 t1_je0zz68 wrote

Thanks. We were married in 2018 and are still married today. Bought the house February 2019

3

Hrekires t1_je022s5 wrote

Just got mine yesterday.

Was surprised that I got the entire rebate. They made me submit a paper application because I jointly owned my house with my then-boyfriend in 2019, but since he's since died I had to include the death certificate. Was expecting half to go to his estate (which is still me since we got married in 2020 but I wasn't looking forward to dealing with that mess)

7

McL0v1nnn t1_jdzu3bg wrote

Yep. Just got mine for $450. I honestly thought I was going to get a bit more since we make less than 90k and pay $1225 in rent.

6

dailysmokes t1_je05ggb wrote

Its $450 for renters regardless of the amount paid in rent

15

McL0v1nnn t1_je067e1 wrote

Didn’t know that. I guess my accountant forgot to mention that!

SpeedySpooley t1_je0fsfe wrote

I checked the website and it says mine is approved, but not yet processed.

I signed up back in December, went to check now, and of course "no record found" . I guess I will try and see if they accept it late.

3

TheTrickTopHat t1_je2croe wrote

I filed online at the end of September and as of this morning it said it was no record found. A couple hours later I checked my bank account and it was there. So if you filed online, keep an eye on your account in case it pops up

Bug120 t1_je044hg wrote

Wow, I had no idea this existed and we would have qualified. Since the application deadline passed, I guess we’re SOL right?

2

vanderjud t1_je09ptq wrote

Wondering the same thing. I just applied. Applications are still open but there’s a clause that says you can be denied simply bc the deadline was missed. Figure it’s worth a shot but I’m not holding my breath.

coma24 t1_je0zgp5 wrote

I received 7 separate emails about it starting last September from the State of NJ mailing list that /u/elmariachi304 references below. I think I ended up on that list after signing up for covid related updates a while back.

2

dailysmokes t1_je04jlt wrote

Mine hasn't hit yet

2

BoardwalkKnitter t1_je0zchk wrote

I wonder if this is being released like the COVID relief ones were? Like individually, bank by bank, in waves.

Or did you have to send in a paper copy? I hear those will be taking longer.

1

dailysmokes t1_je0zv18 wrote

No paper copy, all online. And I am assuming it's in waves not all in same day but throughout the week.

2

GhostRising_ t1_je1ifu8 wrote

Can anyone tell me why I only got $1000? Combined we don’t make anywhere close to $150k

2

ChuckThePlant313 t1_je5ns7w wrote

hey, did you ever get clarity on this? I got the same message.

1

magik110 t1_je620ws wrote

I did not. Calling doesn’t help. They just say the volume is too high. So I will wait and see what happens for a while.

I recently moved to NJ (august) and I make less than $150k while renting. I filed my 2022 taxes as a part year resident and will live all of 2023 in NJ.

Would i qualify next year for this rebate?

1

BoardwalkKnitter t1_je18hqb wrote

No this rebate was dated for October 19 2019, if they continue it, there are still 3 years until you qualify.

1

BoardwalkKnitter t1_je18mi5 wrote

And this is separate from state and federal taxes, it was a notice sent out last summer (for renters at least).

1

SteveB1227 t1_je23i2j wrote

I got zero again. Just like the stimulus checks. Guess I’ll just keep working and paying my taxes. Thanks again

I’m getting this message when I check status online: “We cannot provide information about your ANCHOR Benefit on this system” and it’s asking me to call the 1800 number. Anyone knows what this message means?

imchasingentropy t1_jdzjdsg wrote

Absolute disgrace that people making over 150k a year are getting a $1000 rebate when we struggle to house and feed so many people in this state.

−6

itsa_wonder t1_je0srrx wrote

My household makes around 80k. This $1500 is a literal godsend right now.

6

imchasingentropy t1_je13nzk wrote

And I'm glad you're getting it. But you're not making over 150k. No one making 150k needs rebates, they need budgets.

2

njstein t1_je0fofh wrote

Best part is if you're straight up homeless you don't qualify for any of these benefits.

−3

yachius t1_je0ij2n wrote

How would they qualify for a refund on taxes they didn't pay?

NJ has a $6.8 billion surplus in the budget this year, make your voice heard with your rep if you want them to spend that on additional aid for the homeless.
