You have me convinced! I've never played a legit sport but have wanted to get active with a community of people, this sounds like the answer!

TRUST ME! Do a search on FB for groups in your area. You'll find more than a few. Get proper tennis court shoes, a paddle (don't over-spend; 50$ or under for your first one), and that's that.
