That is impressive considering how insufferable most of them are. Radio these days is garbage.

WFMU would like a word.

WFMU is the answer. You may have to search, but there is a show for everyone on the app - which is definitely worth having. 91.1 on the airwaves, and wake & bake with clay pigeon every weekday from 6-9am is my personal favorite for a live morning show with music. I hope someone newly discovers this radio show and is as grateful as I was when I found it. Enjoy!

I definitely never thought I would say this about a radio station, but WFMU has so greatly improved my life. Love it so much.

This; I'm trying to pass that along too.

Is Dennis Elces still a DJ there? I remember him from WNEW classic rock . Always liked his weekend show because he had seagulls squawking in the background when he would talk 😂

Sadly, even neutral music stations have way too many commercials and not enough selection rotation. There are songs that stay on for 3 years. It's horrible.

Check out WFMU out of NJ. Not sure what frequency they broadcast on because I use their app, but they have four stream at pretty much any given time, and it's all freeform; no bullshit corporate radio.

I'm kinda new to it; found it just a few months ago. Definitely enjoying it though! Mostly been listening to Wake and Bake.

Heard Diane for the first time yesterday; that was a cool show. I'm usually listening to podcasts later in the day, but maybe I'll venture into some other WFMU content instead.

Try commercial free sun radio out of Austin. You can stream it.

So, around 2008 I got onto the Amazon MP3 craze. Now Amazon is making it hard to buy MP3's and is forcing their own poor streaming selections.
I'd rather listen to my purchased songs in a playlist. I do like some broadcasts, but it's not my goto.
Ironically, I feel the FIOS music stations do a better job than all other mediums in the case for variety.

Except for WNYC. Brian Lehrer is a treasure.

The thing about the rat I hate is their range. It’s too small to be used daily by me. They only work in ocean and Monmouth but 92.3 used to cover everywhere for the most part of jersey from ocean and up.

Followed them over to IHeart. Elliot is an idiot but I love listening to him.
