The electric/heating bill for my 2bd/2ba apartment for November was way higher than I expected. It was about $400 higher than October and $225 higher than last November, but I've also been having some issues with the heater

Roughly double even considering slightly less usage so far.

Gas was $50 more. Electric was still in the $200 range this month.

I have oil heat so that's almost doubled from already exorbitant rates, but electric seems to have basically stayed the same.

My electric is the same because I switched companies. Oil is about double - $1100 so far. I’m glad it’s not too cold and my house is both energy efficient and small.

CT is not regulated. These prices are getting out of control. We have some of the highest prices.

We largely stopped heating our condo. The dogs (pug and English bulldog) don't mind, and we wear sweatshirts and pants. At night, we have mattress heating pads and electric blankets- It's like heaven. The dogs snuggle right in and snore all night. Our little pug literally crawls under the blankets and you can just see his stupid face sticking out. I don't mind winter.

My electric with UI is actually $12 cheaper versus this time last year. Haven’t moved, haven’t made any changes in power usage. Gas is almost exactly the same. I guess I will consider myself lucky!

Mine hasn't because we locked in a 3 year contract at 10.4c/kwhr..but prior to panicking about higher prices and locking that in, we were at 6.93c/kwhr...so its been an over 50% increase from there. Looking at the rates these days its almost more than double what it was in 2021.
