If you ever get another ticket in New Haven you're likely going to get a boot put on your car or towed. You won't get your car back until you pay your tickets + extra fees

If you accrue over (I think?) $200 or $250 in tickets the city will boot you. Only way to get the boot off is to pay off your fines downtown in cash. Keep in mind that non payment of a ticket over a certain period raises the fine. Best to just pay them right away.

Source, happened to me some years ago.

Also, I believe you will not be able to re-register your vehicle with the state until you pay them and all the accrued fines. It gets really expensive...

You will get the boot or get towed. Probably to Tony's Long Wharf.

They suspended my license and yea towed my car over a 100$ ticket that started as 50$ when I loaned someone my car and they never told me that they caught a parking ticket . Idk how I missed the letters they sent .

Try to make a payment plan with them

If you had court dates for the tickets you have to pay to reopen the cases . And as someone else said it’ll screw you up when you try to register or re-register your car

Did they get your license plate number correct on the ticket? If they did, you have to pay it.

Pay the tickets or you may get into a fix. They even drive around scanning the plates at night using specialized equipment, looking for cars to boot.

Those tickets go up in value too. Pay them right away when they are still small.

Sounds like you've got plenty of good answers here, but just to be clear... the longer you wait the worse it gets. Late fees will be added to the tickets, and if you get booted or towed (either is possible) you'll likely be out $100s more than the original fines. Trust me, the day you get booted will inevitably be the least possible convenient day for you to get booted, they seem to have a sixth sense for that.
If you are able to pay them, you should be able to go online and pay them here. You can also contest them there if you think they were incorrectly imposed. I believe you have a limited window in which to contest them. I have successfully contested tickets before. There is also a link there in the event you cannot afford to pay them and can request a payment plan.

Always best to immediately appeal the ticket or pay it. Unfortunately in most cases, they won't just disappear.
