East Rock Associates has boarding houses all over New Haven. For 600-700 a month you get an apartment with a few roommates, everything included. The property manager Dave is a great guy, the only landlord I've ever had who I can say goes above and beyond. Some rooms are in worse neighborhoods, so if you talk to them, specify the area you're trying to be in (I rent from them in East Rock and it's a great neighborhood).
