does anyone have a hack for watching the red sox in new haven without cable? games through the mlb app are blacked out and services like fubo to get nesn are really expensive.

Not an exact solution, but we listen to the local games, WEEI comes in pretty clear across CT.
Missing out on NESN games won't be so bad this season, without Rem Dawg and Eck it'll be a dry year. Youk is doing a good job so far, but I mute it when Maz is on.

there's yankees bars and red sox bars tho,
around here you gotta look for sox swag on the exterior of the establishment
say you're a mets fan if anyone gets in your face
Go to trinity or ward 9
Get a vpn and watch on strikeout.ws. You’ll just need to close the popups in the right way
Streameast
If you have bar money for 182 games you probably have cable money. I found when I was doing this to watch the Bruins my bar tap far exceeded a monthly cable bill.
I second this. Great site
Fair point, but it depends how much of a die hard you are too.
As a bartender at ward 9 I can say we’ll happily put on a game for you. Volume for the game depends on the stakes or how much money you give me.
This is how MLB screws itself and one of many reasons its fanbase is shrinking. Networks like NESN should be available on their own, but instead the cable companies bundle them so you have to pay for a more expensive package. I would pay for NESN by itself, but I don’t want to pay for 100 useless channels to get it.
I thought the same thing. Until NESN launched its own streaming service. It’s like $30 a month. Almost makes cable seem worth it.
as a Pirates fan i felt it was cheaper to actually go to Three Rivers stadium than to get cable from Comcast
Stream east.xyz it’s legit I watched the whole football season on my iPad
Didn’t know that (clearly). Thanks.
Buy an antenna for your tv. You'll get 100+ channels, mostly weird stuff, but it's free. It also includes the major networks and any games they air. They're like $50 and work anywhere - mostly - in the US
Not unless you live in NE.
Are NESN execs not aware of the global fanbase of NE/Boston sports teams?

There’s definitely some good bars to watch games, I’m cable-less and that’s what I do
