Looking for a town that has both lakes and mountains for skiing and is a tourist destination for summer/winter activities. Bonus points for a cute walkable downtown within 20-30 mins drive. Thank you!

Gilford or some of surrounding cities in lakes region. Might be a stretch for walkable downtown, but concord isn’t too far.

Plymouth NH. 20 min or less from both major lakes region bodies (Newfound Lake, Squam) and 20 min from WMNF. Better year round population (and cheaper) than Lincoln. Nice downtown and all your major box stores/amenities. Bonus that it's 5 min from Tenney mountain for easy weekday laps (once they finally reopen).

I'm going to plug Plymouth too. I ski at Cannon and Waterville. Will it up the lakes in the summer. Walmart, Hannaford, Market Basket in town. Lowe's and Home Depot are 30 min away in Tilton

Stowe VT, Bethel ME, Holyoke MA, there are not any of what you are describing in New Hampshire.

Lake Winnipesaukee is where you are wanting to go. Absolutely breathtaking on the Lake. All sorts of towns for all types of peeps. 20+ skiing venues, 30-60 minutes away.

And jam packed with people and traffic. Same with N Conway. Deal breaker for me. I can say that I've been there and enjoyed the amenities, but their success is killing them.
