I’ve lived in New Hampshire my whole life (18 years) and when I was younger I used to think New Hampshire sucked because it’s not where famous people live and we don’t have huge cities. This is the dumbest thing I could have ever thought. Only after a semester at Penn State I realized how blessed I am to live in the greatest state (it was my first time being away from home for such an extended period of time + Pennsylvania sucks haha). We have beaches, lakes, mountains, beautiful forests, beautifully contrasting seasons, low crime, low taxes (aside from housing of course but whatever) and we DO have beautiful cities. Living in the sea coast I have quick access to Boston for the city experience. So why on earth I complained about living in a ‘boring’ state? I HAVE NO IDEA

There's nothing like Western Pennsylvania to make a person appreciate NH. Hell, even Lowell probably looks pretty good to you right now by comparison

Wow, you experienced everything State College, PA had to offer. You're so cool and worldly and cosmopolitan.

Someone tried to dismiss your post because you've only mentioned Pennsylvania, but shit, going to Pennsylvania is enough to appreciate New Hampshire. I have lived in 3 different states, visited all but 3 states, and I agree with you. I could move anywhere really, but I doubt I'll leave NH. I do like parts of other states and, while I do wish we had better food and shopping, NH has a good mix of people, weather, and scenery.

Everywhere else you visit, NH is where you stay.

I grew up here too and I’ve always loved it. My family would take us all over and I think that’s why I loved it. My friends were the same way! They thought it was boring. Left and came back as soon as they could. I was lucky enough to buy property here 6 years ago! And hoping to move to a nicer town further East this summer.
