40 years ago the trail was an easy walk. (Made the original carriage road for the hotel believable). Maybe 20 years ago it was super eroded and a difficult because of the exposed rocks. What is the trail like in 2023? Used to be best reward for the effort. Thanks

I would still consider this the best bang for the buck in The White Mountains. There will be some moderate difficulty no matter where you hike in The Whites, especially with any elevation, but this is certainly the best view you can get for a short moderate/easy hike that I have ever experienced.
