Hey! We live in apartments in Bedford right on the Manchester border. Yesterday we noticed the tap water tasted a little funny, sort of like chlorine but different. Today the water taste was noticeably stronger and now has a smell to it. It’s not like a rotten smell, as i said it smells and tastes like a cleaner or sorts. Either way we were wondering if anyone else was noticing this or has a reason as to what is happening. Thanks in advance!

Do you know where the building water is sourced from?

Manchester Water Works, which supplies some parts of Bedford, sporadically switches between chloramine and chlorine, which can change the smell and taste.

We use an undersink filter which removes the Chlorine taste - that may be an option you can look into.

We live close by and are likely on your same water system. I did not notice a taste but if I drink tap it is filtered through our fridge. Sorry I can't be of more help. I am assuming its Manchester water works so you can always call them and ask if something changed.
