How did they drop the ball? If you read the affidavit then you’ll clearly see all the work they put in to arrest this guy. It’s quite remarkable.

- Not investigating the first time he killed someone.
- The suspended sentence after he stole a gun and threatened police.
- He was at the scene, matched the description, and not questioned for some reason.
Probably others I missed.

They did and ruled it self defense.

Probably could have locked him up for that but what are the laws in Utah?
