Anybody count how many times law enforcement dropped the ball here?

Once the killing took place they did an incredible job to track him down

Are you implying it’s their fault the murders took place because of how they handled prior encounters with him?

He may have killed before. There was barely an investigation.

How did they drop the ball? If you read the affidavit then you’ll clearly see all the work they put in to arrest this guy. It’s quite remarkable.

  1. Not investigating the first time he killed someone.
  2. The suspended sentence after he stole a gun and threatened police.
  3. He was at the scene, matched the description, and not questioned for some reason.

Probably others I missed.

  1. They did and ruled it self defense.

  2. Probably could have locked him up for that but what are the laws in Utah?

  3. At the time the couple was missing and not yet found murdered. What were they going to do, hold him for their disappearance?

"...the fog-shrouded lumber and mining town of Colville, Wash."

LOL, Colville is high plateau arid on the deep Eastern side of WA, there's little to no fog. That dramatic and yet factually incorrect statement makes me question the credibility of the rest of the reporting in the story.

Couple of nh or ne podcasts have made statements like that and I've dropped them, especially ones that state they avoid dramatizing.

The Claude Remo Passport is worrisome. I hope interpol is checking on that. Maybe there's another body in Romania without a passport. Actually I would check out every single place he traveled to. For missing persons, and unsolved murders. Jmo.

How many times did police respond to complaints from his actions. It shouldn't take a tragedy gor the law to act. Just about every last mass shooting, the perp was on the radar. We are waiting for VA authorities to fess up and say he was on the radar. I don't like red flag laws. The FBI or locals just do your job.

I had a CZ75B once, great gun, just limited parts and mag availability and not optics ready.
