Salt Hill Pub in Lebanon is hit or miss but when it hits it can be a good night. Otherwise I just pop a gummy and play Elden Ring or something.

Depends on your idea of fun. For food, keep going north west to WRJ or north east into Hanover. Bright Side Brewing, Snax, Salt Hill, and most brew pubs do trivia during the week. Once things warm up, there’s plenty of green space, you can rent kayaks by Dartmouth, and breweries tend to have events when it warms up. You just missed maple weekend, not sure what else is left during mud season.

Personally I’m just waiting for it to warm up so I can garden and work on my car.

What sort of hobbies/interests do you have?

More hit or miss, but keep an eye on the schedule for the Lebanon Opera House. Occasionally you get some really great shows that make you wonder how they ended up in Lebanon (St. Paul and the Broken Bones played somewhat recently).

Once it gets warm out, paddling or floating down the Connecticut river is fun. Great River Outfitters in Windsor, VT will rent you boats or tubes and is right next to Harpoon brewery.

If you have fancy/expensive taste, Woodstock, VT is a nice day trip.

Go to Harpoon Brewery across the river in Windsor, VT. In that small business park there's a bunch of stuff to do: brewery, adventure stuff company (tubing, biking, etc...), Path of Life is behind it all, there's Silo Distillery, and a new dispensary right in the shared parking area.

Check out Poor Thom's Tavern in Meriden. Really good food, and there's a game night there once a week. The outdoor seating will be opening up soon.

Harpoon Brewery & stuff in one location across the river in Windsor, VT. Keep heading down Rt. 5, and turn up Rt. 44/44A to go explore Ascutney state park.

Get some kayaks and explore the CT river between the Wilder Dam (Hanover side has access) all the way down to Bellows Falls, VT, with lots of river access along the way. (Getting out in Cornish before the big covered bridge would be a long trip down the river, with a stop at Sumner Falls).

There's a couple places in Claremont for food/beer: Ramunto's, The Common Man, Tavern on the Square, Daddy's... nothing world class, but decent enough to throw in the mix.

Head down Rt.12 to Keene and stop at Summit Winery for some nice samples.

To the east there's Lake Sunapee and Mt. Sunapee, which has some fun exploring. A little further is Mt. Kearsarge for hiking.

There's a lot more to do, you just need to ask, or poke around.

I recently just moved to the same area and have been wondering the same thing. I always see people saying bars/nightlife but I don’t drink so figured there wasn’t much else.

I know there's a game store in Claremont, I wonder if they do DND??

That place (The Tea Tree) is owned by some sketchy people, and not that great. The one in Windsor or Woodstock is nicer. Plus, if you go to Woodstock you can walk next door to Worthy Kitchen for some of the best beer and burgers around.

Without getting into it too deep, it's probably best not to support that place.

Pros: never packed, cheap & decent food and beer, nice people.

Cons: slow service at times, even when it's empty.

All winter I think about all the car project stuff I want to do, then the snow melts and I regret not having a garage or lift.

I preemptively pop 1000mg of Tylenol, put the car up on ramps, and hope my karma is high enough that I’m not reincarnated somewhere in Ohio. One day I’ll pick up a QuickJack.

Make sure to hike Mount Cardigan in Orange, NH! Great views of the Upper Valley
