Hello. I'm looking for a experienced, aggressive criminal defense attorney. It's s not for a felony or anything, just a stupid misdemeanor. It's a crappy case with zero evidence, that the state trumped up against me for reasons of political correctness.

My current lawyer is useless. His knowledge of criminal law seems spotty at best, and he is 100% passive. But since I was an inexperienced moron, i stupidly paid him a flat rate. Clearly he feels that since there are no more billable hours available he will only do the absolute minimum on my case. All that happens is that when they get a notice from the state about a hearing or something, he has his secretary forward me a copy. He is impossible to reach on the phone and ignores my emails. I do my own research and there are several possible options I could persue if i had a helpful lawyer instead of an invisible one. And this has been going on for two years since i was arrested around this time in 2021 and still has yet to successfully have a trial. It keeps getting rescheduled since the prosecution keeps filing for continuances - FOUR TIMES so far! - once because one of the witnesses had "a business meeting"! All them have been filed at the last second the day before the trial is scheduled.

I need a lawyer with lots of criminal law experience here in NH. Someone active, not passive, who will do something other than simply accept whatever the prosecution does no matter how stupid. Someone who will actually communicate and strategize with me and tell me what to expect. Its a pretty simple, easy to win case (the state has nothing), but I need someone more involved than a potato. Someone willing to stand up and say to the prosecutor "Whoa, Nelly! I don't think so. I call shenanigans."

Derry area is preferable but really any location is fine. Thanks

I can't speak on the quality of your attorney, but prolonged rescheduling of shit is most of our legal system.

As long as you don't care about zero scruples, zero moral character. She's one of those "nothing is sacred" types.

She's also in family law, that's where I know her from. Tell her I said "go fuck yourself." I personally detest her, but she does sound like what you need. Part of me hates to send her clients, but she's so aggressive my ex actually fired her, lol.

I understand, but jn the US we have a constitutional right to a speedy trial, and by Supreme Court precedent as well as the official rules, guidelines, and procedures of the state court system, 2 years is well beyond anyone's definition of "speedy". If it were just one or two continuances for genuine emergencies, maybe, but asking for FOUR continuances, each one the day before the trial and one of them because one of the witnesses has "a business appointment"? Nuh-uh. You're the one taking me to court, you've known the date for months. Your bad scheduling is not my problem. Buy a fucking calendar.

What about Ryan Russman, he's always on Greg and the Morning Buzz. I think he's out in the Seacoast though.

You're welcome. I once had an attorney who pushed me to take a plea deal, and he even lied to me and threatened me. He was supposed to be on my side!

I'm recommending her because I really do think she'll be on your side.

My own horrible experience with that guy makes me genuinely feel for you. I was absolutely innocent, and it sounds like that might be true for you. Too many people think you must be guilty if charges were filed at all. It's simply not true.

She did some very cruel stuff, but there's no doubt that she's in it to win it. That's better than being in it to win points with Prosecution or just to milk clients.

Best wishes to you.

Are you willing to spend the thousands of dollars that this sort of ideal defense would require? Nobody should work for free, lawyers included.

You’re describing a $300/hr lawyer and looking at $15k for a trumped up misdemeanor.

Wow, it's SUPER weird you said that, because my so-called lawyer is Phil Kalil, another attorney with that firm. Sounds like I got the lame one instead of the good one. I wonder if I can complain, or ask them to switch me.

Yes, it would definitely be better to have a criminal record. I've already been "doxxed" twice by online troll who found just the announcement of my arrest online at the local police blotter. Not going to give them the added ammo.

I never expected anyone to work for free. I paid a hefty sum and so far I estimate he has done a total of maybe two or three hours work on my case. He just has his secretaries handle everything. He certainly has taken no steps at all to improve my case. It's all I can do to get him to even speak to me briefly every six or eight months, and that takes weeks of nagging.

You can look into Jim Rosenberg w/ Shaheen & Gordon, they have an office in Manchester. It will not be cheap and you will likely feel you are being treated the same way but they get results.

Lol “state trumped up against me for political correctness”… you’re one of those. My guess is your lawyer is fine. Youre just not happy that you aren’t getting away with whatever you did and the law isn’t letting you 😂

Yeah, you know all about the details of my case, so you're perfectly qualified to have an opinion. The state is never wrong, correct? Anyone charged with anything us always automatically guilty, and anyone who disagrees is even more guilty! You're that guy, the smug ahole who thinks they know everything about everything. Your guess is wrong, douchebag. But I bet that my guess that everybody who knows you thinks you're an arrogant twat js 100% spot on.

Tarbell and Brodich out of Concord Nicholas brodich is very good. Unfortunately I’ve been to court several times with several different attorneys. This guy is respected by the prosecutors and the judges that goes a lot farther in court than an ass hole attorney.

And I've dealt with people like you - condescending assholes who arrogantly judge people who they know absolutely nothing about. Get off your high horse and quit pretending you know anything. You're clearly a moron since you think no one is ever unjustly accused, cops are right 100% of the time, never make mistakes, and the whole justice system works like a flawless, well-oiled machine. Anyone who is accused of anything and objects to it MUST be guilty, right? What a clueless clod you are. And a bitter, miserable person, the type who feels the need to try to make themselves feel important by make sneering comments to strangers for no reason other than to try to make yourself feel better about yourself jn your own mind. I pity you, seriously.

In fact I just talked to my new lawyer and he said I'm right about the whole situation, so suck my balls, moron. You're not "pretty confident", you're wildly overconfident to the point of arrogance.

You know that most people who know you think you're a collassal dick, right?

I feel for you! I’m not saying you’re guilty or innocent b/c I don’t know the facts of your case. I know that the court system has some corruption like any industry. Take a cross-section of any industry and you’ll find some level of corrupt people. It’s just human nature.
