Stanley Kramer had an insane run. He had the following movies.
The Defiant Ones (1958)
On The Beach (1959)
Inherit the Wind (1960)
Judgment at Nuremburg (1961)
It's a Mad Mad Mad World (1963)
Ship of Fools (1965)
Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (1967)
Seven movies, won 9 Oscars, nominated for 42 more Oscars. That's not a typo.
Over 1 win and over 7 nominations on average for 7 straight movies.

In no particular order:
- The old guy and Mama Corleone singing at Connie's wedding in the opening of The Godfather.
- The scene from Clue where they play "Life Could be a Dream" and stage the corpses to look like a party is happening.
- Jack Rabbit Slim's Twist Contest in Pulp Fiction.
- War drums/flaming guitar as the war party rolls out in Mad Max: Fury Road
- Marty playing Johnny B. Goode at the end of Back To The Future.

If you haven't seen the movie, how can you possibly say whether or not other movies deserved to win before it?

I have damn near every movie and concert stub since Mortal Kombat in '95. Many have faded but the vast majority are still perfectly legible.
I still collect movie stubs, though 95% of the concerts I attend now use digital ticketing.

One of the early scripts had a different ending where Ludlow and Roland try and fail to take down the father Rex, with Ludlow getting taking to the nest and fed to the infant. Was a cool sequence that I think fit the movie much better than a 30 minute Godzilla homage

I'm not going to say COVID restrictions are good. But getting COVID (even a mild Omicron case), still suck ass. 0/10 experience.
Generally though, if they can protect their main stars and other people in charge to keep delays down. Then I think it's a smart move.

It’s totally possible that’s what the op intended, but there is zero context in the original message for me to make that connection. The last two prior Best Picture winners were Coda (2022) and Nomadland (2021).
