No one-scene-ers, cause that'd be cheating.

I watched War Dogs last night and Ana de Armas was like the 4th most prominent character in that film (playing Miles Teller's gf/baby mama) and by the time the movie was almost over I realized... there's not a single thing that she said or did that wasn't in direct relation to Miles Teller's character. She was just "the girlfriend" and that's it. And the perfect one at that, I might add. She only >!leaves him after like, the 5th major lie she catches him in!<

Delivery Man with Vince Vaughn. His girlfriend is Colbie Smolders and she's a cop for no apparent reason.

One of the best example would be the woman in Ocean Eleven. She is literally there to be a prize SO men fight for. She's part of the heist and it's not even hidden

Agreed, she's a singularly awful character and is in the movie purely to make everyone absolutely miserable.

It is funny though that you could easily make a movie from her POV where she's the good guy, desperately trying to keep her loser gambling-addicted boyfriend from throwing his promising legal future away in card rooms or getting himself killed by the Russian mob because of his idiot best friend Worm.

Every cop movie of the girlfriend of the single cop who does things his way, while his cop partner is the married "play by the rules" stable one whose wife is also without a personality.

Baby Driver. Love the film, but it's widely considered that the romance is the worst part of it, spent a bit saying she liked music then bam, she waits years for him while he's in prison? (yeah ik its probably a dream). I'd also argue Minnie Driver's character in Good Will Hunting, but she went to school with my mum so I'm not gonna dis her character.

The wife in Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. Sure it’s a movie about the two guys, but I feel like John Hughes could’ve given her something to do

I'm pretty sure it was deliberately written that way, but Maya Rudolph's fiance in Bridesmaids is treated like a prop. I don't think he even has any lines.

My only gripe with the movie Like Crazy is Jennifer Lawrence's character is given absolutely nothing to do other than to be the "other girl"

Claire Forlani in Mystery Men

there's no reason for her to be in the movie other than to tick a box to say that the movie had a romantic subplot

Originally she had a bigger storyline. She thought Steve Martin was having an affair and that John Candy was not an obnoxious oaf, but was the other woman.

Her look at the end is so emotional because she realizes Del is a real person.

The original was too long though, so it was cut to focus on the Martin & Candy.

Chris Pratt in Bride Wars.

We learn nothing about him whatsoever, except that he likes American Idol, which could be said about millions upon millions of people in the mid-2000’s.
