Agreed, she's a singularly awful character and is in the movie purely to make everyone absolutely miserable.

It is funny though that you could easily make a movie from her POV where she's the good guy, desperately trying to keep her loser gambling-addicted boyfriend from throwing his promising legal future away in card rooms or getting himself killed by the Russian mob because of his idiot best friend Worm.

Damn, that actually sounds like a solid movie. Only more relevant today too with sports gambling and crypto.
