The first Suicide Squad movie.
Amsterdam. Literal waste of a screen
Dimonds are forever.
OHMSS set it up perfectly. It just needed to follow up on the ending, but instead they made blowfeld a joke.
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen could've been 10x better if had... More? Idk, something about it was just underwhelming.
Dracula wasted a great Oldman performance with shit casting and bad sfx. One of Keanu's worst movies.
Every gothic horror literature made into a modern rendition wastes it's source material.
Every single movie by Ti West.
A recent example for me would have to be Thor: Love and Thunder.
Last Night in Soho or Raya and the Last Dragon. Both failed to stick the landing and could've been great if the writing was a whole lot better.
They just needed to make the trailer, but longer 😟

The Star Wars sequel trilogy
I’m not much of a horror fan, but after seeing Hellraiser, I was disappointed that they had these interesting characters that they did nothing with.
Battlefield los angeles the start the trailer all worked perfectly then you got to the second act of the film and it fell apart.
ooff that movie sucked so hard
i wanted to like it so much and it just didn't work whatsoever
X and Pearl had so much potential. Wonderful idea that didn’t work as well as it could.
Jurrassic World Dominion.
You have the amazing premise of dinosaurs are everywhere on earth and this is what you go with?! I mean you literally spent all of the 2nd film in the trilogy to get to this story and.... Locusts?! You make a bug movie!?
If I'm Universal I still run with this premise. You can tell so many interesting small stories with this premise. Do 6 episodes for streaming.
-Amazon tribe dealing with dinosaurs
-T rex terrorizing Moscow
-Big game hunter doing illegal trips in Africa
The opportunities are endless.

I actually like it a lot on its terms, well until the climax anyways. But yeah as a follow up to Majesties its a disappointment. Still not as bad as Spectre following up Skyfall though.
Gigli, there was actually an interesting idea in the premise and could have been turned into an absurdist heartfelt comedy but they wanted to be all serious and just made it boring and confused.
The Raven
Oz The Great And Powerful
The existence of Pearl doesn’t even make sense to me. A backstory for a character that wasn’t interesting enough to give a shit about in the first place.
hancock (2008). first 2/3rds was so great and one of the more interesting takes on superheroes (as well as the movie being funny) then the last act completely tanks the movie into forgettable territory. i still defend this movie here and there but it really could have been greater.
agreed. i rewatched this in late 2022 just to refresh my mind on why it was so disappointing, i still love the trailer to this day, but it really took the generic route by the halfway mark. i do love the alien designs still.
Jumper and Push. Loved the idea of both movies, the story just wasn’t as good as you’d like.

Was way too ambitious for the minds involved. Sad.
Spectre was the movie that got me into bond. I'll admit that the ending is a little weak, and the brothers twist was bullshit, but I like the movie. I think the main difference is Skyfall doesn't need a follow up. It ends its story where it needs to, so the next movie can be good or bad without wrecking Skyfall. Majesties ends on a cliffhanger that demands satisfaction. Bond needs his revenge. Instead we got Dimonds. It's a fun movie, all 007 films are. I always loved the moon lander chase. But it is my least favorite bond movie
Passengers.
Had the script been flipped around and the movie started with Jennifer's awakening, it could've been a much more compelling film.

The Book thief wasted a nearly perfect cast.
World war z wasted its ip.
