Hi! I’m looking to play a short film that’s around 30-45 minutes in my classroom in order to teach them about narratives. It has to be rated G (please no documentaries!) and I have to be able to find it free on YouTube or another website that will not be blocked by a school computer. If anyone has any suggestions please reply, thank you!

Short films aren't rated by the MPA. It costs an arm and a leg to get a rating from them and there is never a reason to do so.

Show the 1993 Homeward Bound and break it up over two class periods. It costs $3.99 on youtube or you can probably check it out for free from your local library.

If the library in your city of county gives free Kanopy memberships a bunch of Oscar nominated shorts are available there. A bunch are under 20 minutes so you might need to show two.

This isn't a short film that you would ever show (it's geared for more younger kids and is an "older film", but I recommend that everyone watch it at least once as it might be one of the saddest films ever:

The Mailbox (1977)
