A Terror Movie From My Childhood

Hi, my name is John and when I was around 10 to 12 years old I used to do a kind of school reinforcement in front of my house, and on commemorative dates we had film sessions, one of these films was a specific horror film that at least that I remember told the story of a couple who traveled somewhere of Asian origin, and they disrespected the religion there or something, until they were hunted by white figures in a village or something, I had this memory lapse and I wonder if anyone knows the name of this movie.

I remeber one more thing, the movie has a sex scene with some ritualistic feeling and only the woman survives, the husband becomes one of these white creatures.
