I hate to admit it but the majority of the movies I saw this year were on streaming. Kind of just the way it is now

Aftersun is a masterpiece.

Yeah, it really was quite fantastic.
It reminded me a bit of The Florida Project (2017), which was also great.

hot take: I really enjoyed Babylon Banshees of Inisherin is number one and not close to two. Batman. Top Gun. Barbarian. need to see: The Fablemans, The Whale, TAR.
will never understand the hype of Everything Everywhere All At Once. Thought it was so bad, almost walked out of theater.

I haven't seen Babylon yet, but the response it's been getting makes me really curious to see it. Everyone seems very passionate about it one way or another.

I really enjoyed it. thought it was beautifully shot and I liked the self indulgence. also thought the performances, which strayed from realism, were very compelling.

Honestly, the only movie I saw in theaters was The Fifth Element.
I used to go to movies every week. The pandemic kind of killed that.
