I will now admit something that will result in me getting viciously attacked by angry hordes, but I actually found the Emoji-movie to be quite entertaining. Is it a cinematic masterpiece? No. Does it have an engaging plot and captivating characters? No. But did it help me escape my boring everyday life for between one and two hours? Amazingly, yes! And that is what it is all about in the end, init? Escapism!
