What movies would you recommend to me? Maybe even a book.

I grew up in a very strict household and basically wasn’t even able to know who I was or what I liked. Sheltered beyond belief. Now that I am an adult I find myself really enjoying movies, tv shows, and books that offer extremely immersive experiences. I also like them to be fiction so I can just escape. I loved Avatar, Harry Potter, Twilight, The Vampire Diaries, Revenge, Outerbanks. I love a good romance and adventure. Anyone have other ideas for what I could look into? When i watch I want to feel worlds away. I also like a strong steadfast male who embraces his leadership abilities with a strong moral compass.

You might want to watch the Lord of the Rings films. They are deeply immersive, are almost entirely based on male leadership in a time of great moral danger, There is plenty more material (such as The Hobbit film trilogy) if you find you love it.

The novels are exquisite as well. I'd probably recommend reading The Hobbit first to see if you like it. The Lord of the Rings novels are considerably denser and longer, but the stories are splendidly connected.

Stephen King's The Dark Tower series is extraordinary. These novels are really intricate and involve multiple worlds, and they are tremendously immersive. You'll have a hard time putting them down if get a good start.

There are people who claim these books were made into a film. Do not listen to those lies. There is no film worth watching.

Have you watched The Originals or Legacies? They’re sequels I guess you’ll say to Vampire Diaries. I think you’ll like those two shows too.

If your looking for something light hearted then you should check out The Road by Cormac McCarthy.

It’s the story of a son and his father in their travels across the southern United States.

The Dark Tower is an amazing movie. You must be a dumbass to think otherwise.

I do admit, i never read the books. But i found the movie very enjoyable and is one of my favorite movies.

I kinda get where youre coming from. Cause I have this same argument with people about Charlie vs Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. How Charlie and the Chocolate Factory uses 95% of the book and Willy Wonka only uses 5%, and everyone hates the new one but loves the old one. And that pisses me off. Obviously the new one is better cause ifs actually based on the book.

And I got pissed off about the Artemis Fowl movie for being so bad.

I guess it just depends on if you read the book or not i guess. But you shouldn't tell people to not watch the movie. If you read the book, then the movie is bad. But if you didn't read the book, then the movie is good. Thats how it works.
